About Us

Welcome to Potter Family (عائلة الخزافين), a Jordanian family project founded by a mother and her children. We bring together passion and creativity to preserve the art of handmade ceramics and pass it on to the generations to come.

Our Story

Every Ceramic Piece Has a Story. Ours Began with a Small Dream.

Our journey began when Nadia Nairat discovered her passion for ceramics. She decided to learn this ancient craft and protect it from fading away, so she joined specialised training in vocational institutes. But she did not stop at developing her own skills. She believed that the most beautiful success is the one built with family, so she encouraged her children to learn ceramics alongside her.

Together they went through the journey of learning, experimenting and improving, until they became one complete team working with one spirit. That is how Potter Family was born: not just a business, but the story of a mother and her children brought together by a love of clay, creativity and heritage.

Our Journey

From One Pair of Hands to a Whole Family Team

Inside our studio, blocks of clay become works of art full of life, carrying the features of Jordan, the patterns of Palestine and the authenticity of the civilisations that have passed through this land. We work as one team: every family member takes part in designing, shaping, decorating and firing, so each piece leaves our hands with a family spirit and true craftsmanship.

Our mission never stopped at making ceramics. It grew into sharing our knowledge with others. Nadia Nairat and the Potter Family team have run workshops and training courses for more than 500 trainees, in cooperation with local and international institutions, because we believe that preserving traditional crafts begins with teaching them to new generations. Today our pieces reach customers in Jordan and beyond.

Our Mission

To preserve the ceramics profession and pass it on to the new generation through contemporary designs inspired by our rich heritage, turning clay into works of art that tell the story of our heritage and remain part of our customers’ lives for years.

Our Values

Family business: we cherish the spirit of cooperation between family members in every detail.
Authenticity: we draw inspiration from heritage and preserve traditional ceramic techniques.
Creativity: we add our own artistic touch, so each piece is a unique work of art.
Sustainability: we use natural materials and support local production.

Our Promise

“At Potter Family, we don’t just make ceramics. We make memories, preserve heritage, and tell the story of a mother and her children who believed that passion and working together can turn clay into timeless art.”

We craft with clay… and through heritage, we tell a story that is never forgotten.

Our Inspiration

Heritage You Can Hold

Our designs come from the heritage we love: the stitches of Palestinian tatreez, the olive tree as a symbol of the land, the pomegranate tree, and the details of Jordanian ceramics. We bring these motifs into pieces made for today’s homes, for everyday use, for hospitality and as gifts that carry meaning.

Our Craft

From Clay to Kiln, by Hand

Each piece takes time. It is shaped, left to dry, fired, glazed, and fired a final time. Along the way we use techniques such as tatreez-inspired decoration, raised olive details, botanical carving and ceramic mosaic.

Because every piece is made by hand, no two are exactly alike. Small differences in colour, shape and texture are natural, and part of what makes each piece yours.
