Every ceramic piece has a story, and ours began with a small dream.
Some years ago, Nadia Nairat discovered a deep passion for ceramics. She wanted to learn this ancient craft properly and to help protect it from disappearing, so she enrolled in specialised training at vocational institutes. Little by little, clay became more than a skill. It became a way of life and a source of inspiration.
But Nadia believed that the most beautiful success is the one you build with your family. So she invited her children to learn alongside her. Together they learned, experimented and improved, until they became one complete team: designing, shaping, decorating and firing each piece with one shared spirit. That is how Potter Family (عائلة الخزافين) was born.
Inside our studio, blocks of clay become cups, plates, jars and vases that carry the features of Jordan, the embroidery patterns of Palestine and the character of the civilisations that shaped this land. Because every piece is made by hand, no two are ever exactly the same, and we think that is exactly what makes them special.
Our mission soon grew beyond making ceramics. Today we also teach. Through workshops and courses with local and international institutions, we have trained more than 500 children and adults, because we believe that preserving a traditional craft starts with passing it on.
Thank you for being part of our story. Every piece you take home from our studio helps keep this art alive, one handmade piece at a time.
We craft with clay… and through heritage, we tell a story that is never forgotten.
